The Cost: R1,950 All-Inclusive
A single fee covers everything from drafting to registered contract. No add-ons, no surprises, no per-meeting charges.
What R1,950 covers
- Drafting — the antenuptial contract itself, prepared by a notary public, tailored to your circumstances and any asset exclusions you specify.
- Power of attorney — if signing by proxy rather than in person, the power-of-attorney document is included.
- Notary attendance — the contract is executed before a notary public.
- Deeds Office registration — we lodge the contract at the Deeds Office for registration within the three-month statutory window.
What is not included
- Section 21 postnuptial applications. Changing your matrimonial regime after the wedding requires a High Court application, which is a separate matter quoted on its own merits.
- Wills and estate planning. An antenuptial contract is one piece of your overall estate plan. We offer wills and estate-planning advice as separate services.
- Trust formation. If your circumstances call for trust structures alongside the antenuptial contract, this is quoted separately.
How to pay
We invoice once, after you have reviewed and approved the draft contract. Payment by EFT is preferred. We accept payment up to the day before signing — there is no need to settle before the draft is ready.
Why a single fee?
Antenuptial contracts are a focused, well-defined notarial product. After ~30 years and tens of thousands of contracts, we know precisely what each step costs us — so we can quote a single, transparent figure and stick to it. Hourly billing creates uncertainty. A flat fee means you know what you are paying before we start, and there is no incentive on either side to drag the matter out.
